Yea I mean I agree that Torre's ability to control the clubhouse and the respect he had from the team was underrated, and that was a big factor losing that. Girardi was a teammate of some of these guys just 10 years ago, and let's face it, he's still a spanking new manager learning on the job. No one wanted him more than me at the time, but I'm now learning that you need someone with experience and already respected to manage the New York Yankees. It's a unique job that requires it. Also, if we had the GM of the Marlins, we'd be in a hell of a lot better shape.

Excellent sources and I completely agreed with you. A big one that I thought you should add is "releasing" Joe Torre... that did it for me and a lot of Yankees fans..

Joba looked good. All of the pieces are falling into place. Also, the Dominican injuries aren't serious.

Yea, I'm not too worried about the big guy - as long as he takes care of his arm (since he's coming off a lot of thrown innings), and doesn't let New York get to him. I don't think the money will be a problem, just has to go out and pitch his game. He's going to get plenty of run-support, so he has to remember that and not feel like he has to go out and throw a complete-game shutout every 5 days.

I wouldn't worry about C.C he's a beast. The only problem I see is that he will let all that money go to his head and he does end up under performing.

In today's performance, Kennedy got rocked while Geisse had a nice outing. Everyone is forgetting how valuable Geisse is in the long relief appearances.
